The Walls Are Painted

The paint is on the walls and the room is beginning to take shape. J picked out the color and it is pretty. Darker than I would have picked but it will work. The bulletin board is hung also. I used 3m's picture hanging strips and they are sooooo GREAT! Much easier then trying to hang with nails. I love them. I am now painting shelves and framing items to hang. Still need to work on the headboard, install shelves and curtain rod.

Taming the Beast

This is the beast.

Scary Huh! It's J's room, in a constant state of scariness. I plan to take down all the stuff, paint the walls, add some hooks, add new curtains, and new headboard cover. Over the desk I plan to add a bulletin board and two shelves. Maybe that will help with containing all her junk, ummm, I mean treasures.
Would love to paint the dresser and add some nice shelves to the closet. But I'm thinking that may need to wait a bit.

It Begins

Wow! This is a little scary, but exciting. I've been lurking around "blog land" for a while and it's high time I dip my toes in. Wish me luck and stop by often to see how my adventure it working out.
