A Hankering For . . . A New Set Of Dinnerware

I'm in desperate need of a new set of everyday dinnerware!

So I've been doing a bit of online window shopping and now I have a decision to make.

Do I stick to my normal choice of crisp, white dinnerware . . .

Or do I mix it up a little and go with a bold, happy red . . .

Mmmm, can't decide . . .

Which would you pick?

A Hankering For . . . Living Room Inspiration

Morning!

It's time for another "Hankering" post.  I have to say I am really enjoying putting together these posts every week.

I find that I have so many idea swarming around in my head of what I want to work on and accomplish.  Rounding up inspiration photos has helped me get motivated to get started as soon as possible.

This past week I have been thinking alot about what I want to do in my living room come January.  You know that crazy time of the year when all the holiday decorations are packed away for another year and your cleaning the house like crazy because your craving clean, organized spaces to start the year off right.

If your like me you also crave simplicity more at this time of the year than any other.

Last January I attempted a Cottage Scandinavian look that I really enjoyed.

The Scandinavian or Nordic look is perfection when balancing beauty, simplicity and function all wrapped up in a paired down style - in my humble opinion that is.

Since last years living room look was a success, I thought I'd try to elaborate on the theme again this time around.

To get my creativity flowing, I've rounded up a few photos that I've fell in love with that I hope maybe you'll fine inspirational also.

A Hankering For ...The Color Red

With temperatures dropping at a steady rate I find my favorite color creeping more and more into my decor.

Although I tend to use red throughout the year, I try to use it sparingly during the spring and summer months.  Concentrating more on other color that I like.

But once the air begins to chill, there is just no stopping my urge to surround myself with red.

I thought today would be a good day to indulge myself, and you too, with a health dose of fantastic red.

Enjoy!

Just so cute!

A Hankering For . . . Vintage Flatware Crafting

Good Morning!

Lately I've been drooling over beautiful creations produced from vintage flatware.

Have you seen some of the cool stuff people are making?

Here's a sampling of items that have caught my attention...

Every girl needs a princess crown right?
How about this version.

We all love candles to add warmth to our homes during the colder months, how fun it would be to have a few of these.

Our command centers and message boards could always use a little sprucing up,  why not use some gorgeous magnets like this.

Vintage silver spoon magnet with jewel to tack your old photos to the fridge or the sides of your filing cabinet.

New jewelry is always a fun thing to pick out, I'm sure a handful of these pendants would be a welcome addition to our jewelry collections.

With holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner, some fabulous new napkins rings seem like a perfect idea.

Victorian Napkin Ring- DIY!!! Find old silver and bend into napkin rings....gorgeous!

And finally, I don't know about you but I'm always looking for something new to add to my outdoor spaces and I think this little number fits the bill.

So now it seems like I need to get busy digging through my collection of flatware and start making something!

Bye now,

A Hankering For . . . Autumn Delights

I don't know about you but now that we're a few days into the month of September I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that soon the leaves will be falling and the air will turn crisp.

Don't get me wrong I adore autumn, but on the inside I just can't believe it's that time already.
Where did summer go?

So today in order to get myself in the mood for fall I've looked for some inspiration to get my fall creative juices flowing and hopefully jump-start my enthusiasm.

Some breathtaking views should help . . .
