I love thrift store shopping don't you?
It seems I'm always on the lookout for the same things. I'm getting very good at zeroing in on anything silver or white.
A few weeks back I happened to spy a silver bell and it instantly reminded me of my Grandmother. She collected bells with a passion. Hundreds and hundreds of bells. As a child I remember the hutch in her kitchen filled with them in all shapes and sizes. Every time we visited, my sister and I would study each shelf trying to pick out any new additions.
When I spotted this silver beauty with all her pretty curves I knew I couldn't pass her up.
It may not be one of Grandma's bells, but it reminds me of her and makes me smile.
Have a lovely day,
Robin

This is so sweet, you definitely found a pretty one to remind you of your grandmothers collection. Your spooky hutch turned out pretty cool too, just the right amount of scary! t. xoxoo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bell. As soon as I saw it it reminded me of my grandma, she would always have some sitting out. :) I love things like that that bring back special memories. :)

What a sweet memory. I once bought a dresser that had small little drawers in it, just like a dresser that my grandma had, because I always remember as a child looking at the jewelry that she kept in there. What ever happened to your grandma's bells?
ReplyDeleteLove the bell and how it reminds you of your grandmother! What a great way to honor her! New follower visiting from Tuesday's Treasures!
ReplyDeleteI love your clock and that bell is so pretty and how sweet that it reminds you of your grandmother. I love thrift stores and to be able to shop there is always a thrill.

ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful bell! I have some things like that, that remind me of people, even if they didn't touch them.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of bell collectors. What a great find! They are so decorative. Plus...you can use them! They can be heard over ipods if you are trying to summon kids to dinner! LOL!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
