Good Morning!
Today I thought I'd share how I made a simple flag banner to hang on my living room corner hutch. I'm sure you've seen something like it before. I know it's been on my to-do list to make for a long time, but even I was surprised at how fast it all came together.
It was so quick and easy, I worked on it while I watched an episode of Modern Family the other night.
I love the pop of color and plaid it gives to the hutch in the corner.
I have hung it along with a strand of battery operated mini lights so I can turn them on at night for a pretty glow.
#1: cut your fabric into a two inch by three inch strip.
#2: Fold the fabric, matching the two long sides, and snip a small section from one end starting on the fold side and cutting toward the raw edges.
#3: Unfold your fabric and you have a tiny flag.
#4: Using a sewing machine fold the top over a length of twine or yarn and sew along the top edge.
Super Simple!
And cute too!
Have a great day,
Robin
Just plain cute. Love it!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Robin! Love the plaid!
ReplyDeleteI'm so into plaid right now and I love this!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin, I too have fallen hard for red plaids right now-in fact, my eye was drawn to the throw on your chair with your baby sitting on it, before I looked at your banner. What a fun easy project; thanks for inspiring us and showing just how easy it is to accomplish.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Hugs, Noreen

That is super cute Robin!
ReplyDeleteI noticed this in your last post, it's adorable!! I might be able to pull something like this off, but using fabric glue or a little push pin.Would that work ya think?
