Hello Everyone!
Have you been wondering why I disappeared once again? I've have this nasty habit of sneaking off with my family to do some camping - - which is where we've been for the past ten days. It was hot, hot, hot but full of fun. I can't wait to catch up with all of you but first I've got a mountain of laundry to deal with.
In the meantime, I thought I'd show you a few treasures I've found while the family and I have been out and about.
On a recent trip to Hayward, Wisconsin I had the opportunity to stop by the weekly flea market and do a little shopping. Like in years past, I found some great deals.

On a recent trip to Hayward, Wisconsin I had the opportunity to stop by the weekly flea market and do a little shopping. Like in years past, I found some great deals.
The first of which is this old crate.
I've placed it on the desk in my dinning room and am using it hold my collection of ironstone platters and extra jar candles.
I was very excited to find this vintage fan to add to my collection. I love it's creamy white color and it still works too!
Here's me trying to be a little artistic with my camera - - ha, ha. I have a ways to go but I still thought it was a cool picture.
A new vendor this year was selling bottles . . . only bottles and lot's of them in every shape, size and color. I'm drawn to both clear and light blue. After debating and agonizing over which ones to purchase I decided on these four plus one more I'll show you later on. I realize now I should have probably bought more but at the time I thought I'd hit the jackpot and was getting all crazy at the bottle stand.
Later in the day I found this canning jar and just had to have it. I of course love the metal lid but the raised design on the sides is what sold me on it.
The small bottle, maybe it's an inkwell, on the left is the other purchase I made from the "bottle man" as I call him. I was thrilled with this find. I've been on the look out for little bottle like this for a couple of years now. I also found the small white dish the postcard is sitting on. I'm always happy to add to my collection of white dishes.
Looking through old postcard at flea markets is always something I do and this year I was pleased to find this calling card. I love the eagle and flag design.
I picked up a few more items also that I forgot to take pictures of but I'm sure you'll see them sometime soon in future decorating projects.
Hope you have a lovely day,
Robin
