Bathroom Reveal

I am so happy to show you my newly updated basement bathroom. I am so excited to show it off, it turned out better than I imagined - it's now my favorite room of the house.
Drum Roll Please . . .

From Scary and Boring . . .
To Bright and Cheerful . . .
It now has just the right hint of cottage charm and modern farmhouse that I was hoping to for. (I don't know why the floor is looking so dark - it is much lighter in person)
Before:After: Here is the vanity and mirror before:

And afterI painted the vanity white and replaced the hardware.

Also gave the mirror a quick coat of white paint.

Here's a better view of the light fixture Mr. J installed for me. No more ugly runway lights - Glory Hallelujah!
Doorway before:
And after with a freshly painted door and trim.
Here's another view long wall.

And finally a closeup of the cute little bench I made and distressed.

I still have a few things I would like to do which will have to wait awhile. I'd like to replace the faucet and mirror. I'm also on the look out for a large blue and white striped rug within by budget.
I love, love, love the rooms new look, hope you do too!
Until tomorrow. Robin

  1. Really lovely. We recently made over one of our bathrooms and it's amazing how much more pleasant bathroom duties are now :) Enjoy!!

  8. I adore that bench. Do you have instructions as to how you made it? I've been looking for something like that for my entryway.
