Book Wreath {sigh}

For ages I've have been ooohhing and aahhhing over book wreaths.

Bloggyland is filled with beautiful examples.

They are just so pretty and I love the graphic element they give a space.

I'm not sure who came up with the idea but I do know it was pure genius!

Sadly, I've put off making one for months and months.

This week I decided enough was enough!  It was high time to attempt it.

Watch out world, I'm packing a glue gun  - - y'all better back up!

Here she is . . .

***sigh***

She's just so pretty!

I'm completely smitten.

For the middle I added a sparkly silver snowflake and a little tinsel pipe cleaner for added sparkle.

To finish up the display,
I added a stack of books tied with a muslin bow.  Another snowflake and some small bits and pieces of holiday sparkle around a bottlebrush tree.

Along side the books I added a cake stand with a little vignette of my favorite things.

Another bottlebrush tree, a petite silver glitter church and one of the sweetest tiny reindeer from my collection.

I'm planning on switching out the glitter church for a slightly larger glitter house.
It's a project in the works . . . but instead of finishing it up I made this . . .

(are you sick of my pictures?   Sorry couldn't help myself - - it just so pretty!!!)

Have you made one for yourself yet?

until tomorrow,
Robin

  3. Love your wreath. But I love everything I have seen on your blog. I have not made a book wreath like yours. I made a different kind of book wreath which hangs on my mantel. I love your cake plate vignette as well.

  10. Your book wreath is GORGEOUS, girl!!! Would you be so kind as to tell me where you got the tutorial? I am dieing to make one like that using sheet music, but I haven't got a clue how it is done! I know I will just waste all of my lovely sheet music, if I don't find out how first.
Your little vignettes are gorgeous, I checked out the two before this post, your kitchen is lovely, too. You do a great job of decorating.
