Adding Display Space

In the family room we have a small wall between two doors, one door leads to our storage area, the other a bathroom.  I thought was the perfect spot to place a small shelf that needed a new place to hang out.

Plus it gave me a little more display space.
The bottom shelf has a rusty black metal box which I use to hold my classic movies.

The top shelf has a blue toolbox holding some of my favorite lace trimmed table runners  and napkins.  Plus few other current favorites.

On the top I place a large lantern and my collection of vintage toy phones.

Above I hung my latest shadow box creation.

Have a great day.  See you soon,

  11. You nail the vignettes every time, Robin! This is such a great use of a cute shelf and those tiny phones are adorable. I'm thinking of building a simple bookcase to put next to our front door. We have a great primitive-style table in that spot, but it's just not very functional and the space underneath it is wasted. Your shelf makes me think that would work really well. It'd give me more horizontal space to decorate on at least! :)

I love hearing from you. Thanks for stopping by!
