New Additions

The front yard garden is coming along nicely.  Almost every item on my to-do list has been checked off.  Soon I'll be able to show you the finished product but for today I'll be showing off some new plants I've added to the beds.

First off, I picked out a lovely Dahlia at the greenhouse.  Sorry I don't know it's name, I forgot to keep the planting tag.

Regardless, I think it's BEAUTIFUL!

I also added two Boxwood shrubs. . . I love me some boxwood.

Also added a ground cover shrub rose.  It looks a little beat up at the moment from all the rain we've been getting but when it's in bloom it's so pretty.

I've also added a two dwarf daylillies in yellow, two meadow sage plants in a deep purple color and light lavender colored speedwell . . . which I forgot to take pictures of - - Oophs.

Have you added any plants to your garden lately?  I'd love to hear about it.  Nothing gets me excited quite like new plants for the garden.

Have a lovely day,
Robin

  7. Oh, Robin! If you do remember the name of that dahlia, do share; it's beyond gorgeous! Can't wait to see the unveiling of the new-and-improved front yard. And I'm glad you made it through all that manual labor! :) We just had beds installed around the house so I'll be planting big time come fall--it's just too bloody hot right now. Though I have a fairly good plan, I'll probably pick your brain a bit since I love your taste is flowers and plants.

    Take care,
    Erin

  8. Your dahlia is gorgeous. The one I bought this year and was so in love with up and died. Looked gorgeous one day and two days later it was brown and shriveled. Weirdest thing I ever saw. Love your choices so far in the new beds. Can't wait to see the whole shebang.
