Master Bedroom Holiday Decor

Good Morning!

This past weekend the girls and I spent making a merry mess in the kitchen.  We had so much fun!  Hope you had a good weekend.

Today I'd like to show you what I've done in my bedroom for Christmas.

Just a few simple touches made the room feel festive.

First I layered on the red and white bedding to keep us cozy at night.

On the shelf above the bed you may remember my pretty glitter houses from past years.
I know it's terrible of me to reuse displays but this is an all time favorite of mine and I can't even bare the thought of not setting it up.  I did add two silver glittered reindeer into the mix this year so I guess I can say it's new and fresh.  LOL.

Can you see why I love it so much?
The feathers glow at night and the rooftops sparkle with a little help from battery operated twinkle lights hidden in the feathers.

At the end of the bed I place my red farmhouse stool stacked with more blankets ready to be used if were feeling a little chilly.

On one bedside table I put together a simple arrangement.  Isn't the little red truck cute?  Found it at Target in their Christmas section.

Another purchase from Target, only last year, was placed on a silver tray with sprigs of greenery and tiny silver ornaments.  You just can't get more simple than that now can you.  I placed this on my dresser.

Hubby's dresser received a simple display too.
Another silver tray, greenery and ornaments with candles this time.
These candles run on batteries and have timers - do you have any of these yet?  I am obsessed with them and use them all over the house.  They work great as a night light if you can stagger the start times.  This way the room has soft candlelight all night long with no worries.  Work great in the bathroom too, for those late night visits.  No more blinding overhead light on my sleepy eyes!  And much more stylish than any nightlight I've ever seen.

And finally, on hubbies bedside table I placed a book page tree in a white urn.

I had such fun putting this together and I just love the way it turned out.

I added some pops of silver on the tree topper and places small jingle bells throughout the tree for a fun touch.

If your interested, stop back tomorrow when I'll be sharing a tutorial on how I made the book page tree.

bye now,

Robin

  3. I ADORE the book page tree! I want to know how to make that. And I don't see why you shouldn't use the same displays if you love them. They've already been "tweaked!" I think it is beautiful. And no, I did not know about these candles! Sounds delightful.
