Sewing a Sweatshirt Pillow

While cleaning out my kiddos closet the other day I just couldn't bring myself to let go of an outgrown sweatshirt.

After a little brainstorming I decided to transform the sweatshirt into a accent pillow for the family room.

This was seriously the quickest project I accomplished all week.
Fifteen minutes, tops and I was done.

Here's a quick run-down of how I put it together.

The kiddos now think I'm a genius... and surprise, surprise they want their own!

Have a great day now,

Robin

  1. Fabulous, what a great idea!!! Today in the thrift store I bought two cable knit sweaters, one green and one red, want to try making Christmas pillows from them - wish me luck!

  8. What a brilliantly simple but extremely effective make! I think I might go and raid the boys wardrobe for outgrown sweatshirts - thanks for sharing :)

  10. Super cute idea to infuse a second life into a favorite sweater. I like using sweater like fabrics for fall and winter decor around the house. The pillow looks really inviting on that chair. Thank you for sharing!
