Project Challenge # 12: Book Pages or Sheet Music

Morning!

It's time again for a fun Project Challenge.

This months theme was book pages or sheet music.  It took me a while to come up with something new to make with book pages because in the past I've made quite a few project with it.

Finally I came up with a fun idea for a project to hang in my daughters room.

Take a look. . .

I think it turned out pretty cute.

To make it I started to two embroidery hoops, one ten inch and one six inch.  I then used embroidery thread to attache the two hoops together and to make a loop at the top to hang it from.

Next, taking a book I cut out three sizes of star shapes.  I then moved over to my sewing machine and started running the stars thru starting with the largest star first and working my way toward the smallest.  I used two stars in each size range.

The last step was to simple tie each strand of stars to the embroidery hoops making sure to space them out evenly.  Once they were all tied on I used my hot glue gun to add a little glue over each knot to hold it in place.
And that is it!

Now it's time time go check out the projects from the other talented ladies participating this month.

Tart Tin Ornaments

Good Morning!

Today I have a fun Christmas Ornament craft to share with you.

I realized the other day that I had not crafted a single new item for the holidays yet and thought I'd better fix that problem right away!

I've had the supplies to make tart tin ornaments for years so I thought it was high time to make some up.

Here is one I made that I have hanging on the tree right now,

I have also made a handful of other ones that still need to be placed on the tree.

I think they turned out so cute and adorable.

Once I began I was surprised at how quickly they went together.

If you'd like to see how I made them, take a moment to watch the video below where I take you quickly through the steps of crafting one of these ornaments.

bye now,
