It's A Blizzard Folks!

Some of my fellow Minnesotans and Wisconsin friends may be experiencing a lot of the white sticky stuff today.

For those of you in warm, toasty, sunny, places have a look at this!

Hubby's already snowplowed twice!

The weather man says to expect up to 16 inches!
I'm thinking were about there.
It's not supposed to stop until sometime after midnight tonight.
Then the cold, freezing temps like we haven't seen yet this winter are coming this way.

High tomorrow a cool and breezy -3 degrees!

We're experiencing some "slight" drifting.

Ummmm, ok maybe a bit more than that.  This is window above our front door.
I've only ever seen snow drifted up over the windows like this one other time in the 9 years we have lived here.

Ten minute's outside will have you looking a little like this . . .

I was a tiny bit crazy this morning and decided to attempt to make it to the gym!

We made it there ok, but after my workout I figured we'd try a quick run to Target.

Not such a great idea.
Luckily I didn't get stuck along the way but it was close, very close a few time.

Now I'm home and my crazy impulses have been laid to rest.

I plan to snuggle in, make a pizza and finish up my Christmas decorating.

Have a safe and happy day,

Robin

  1. Dear Robin,

snow looks always amazing on photos but in reality it is insidious. I hope you have enough food in your house. Be very careful, when you go outside!!

    Hugs

  2. Oh, Robin, what a day for you! Stay inside, bake cookies, and enjoy your time away from the expectations of civilization. Consider a much needed "day off" ;).

  3. It looks beautiful Robin. Of course, this comes from a girl who lives in sunny Southern Califoria. The grass is always greener on the other side! LOL!

  4. We don't have that much snow, but it has snowed all day and blowed, I can't even see the house across the street! My husband went in the ditch about 7 miles from home, thankfully he made it to a house and is there for who knows how long! I did want some snow for Christmas, but.... :)

    Stay warm Robin!! :)

  7. Oh Robin, I hope you are staying warm and cozy this evening. I think you have more snow than we do in Manitoba and it's been snowing here off and on since the middle of Nov. It is colder today than it has been all Winter so far. It's only about 5 degrees below 0, but we have the wind now too, it feels much colder with that wind, doesn't it.
    Stay warm my friend!
    Love and hugs, cindy

  8. Ok, this makes the snow we have in Ohio look like nothin! We are supposed to get a foot next week and our snow blower is in the shop. And if snow up to your windows is not a good excuse to skip a workout and bake cookies, I don't know what it! That is totally what I would do. My gym is only a 3 min away and I still use bad weather as an excuse somedays : )
