Adding a Little Red

For the winter months,

Red is my go-to accent color throughout the house.

It's my favorite color all year round, but during the winter no other color can add cheerfulness to my home quite like red.

This past weekend I decided it was high time to make something new for the dinning room table.
I had an old set of curtains down in the dungeon (a.k.a furnace room). After giving one panel a quick wash, I went to work making a new table runner.

To give it a finishing touch I added a pinch pleat ruffle to the ends.

I just love this fabric.
It's very thick, almost like a canvas or denim.
Which is why it didn't work well as a curtain.
But it works great as a table runner.

Until tomorrow,
Robin
