Remember these from last week.
Many of you wondered if they were made from clay.
Sadly, they are not. Instead they are pieces of beadboard and plywood.
After gluing the two together I cut out the shapes with my jigsaw.
Some I painted red . . .
and some were painted white.
Both colors were heavily distressed.
At first I thought I was going to like the white ones best.
After placing them around the living and dinning room I've changed my mind.
The white hearts seem to blend in to the background.
But the red really pop!
So here's a question for all you lovely, talented ladies. . .
Are you digging the white . . .
or the red?
I'm digging the simple, rustic Valentine cheer they have added to my rooms with minimal effort on my part!
Until tomorrow,
Robin

Digging them both. :-) How about a pink one? Or an aqua...ooohhh....aqua. In a garland? That would be neat! How about a red rag garland with the white ones? Or a white rag garland with the aqua ones? That should keep you busy for a while. he he he
ReplyDeleteI like them both as well as the idea above to add pink into the mix.
ReplyDeleteYou and I are so alike Robin! We both loove white but...there is something about red that catches our eye and calls to us! I like them both!
ReplyDeleteKim:)
Love them...have scrap beadboard in the garage...totally copying! I like the red...a sweet little heart here and there for V-day-so sweet! Thanks for the great idea!
ReplyDeleteVery, very cute, Robin! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think they are both equally as cute! I'm leaning towards the red but the white ones would be pretty year round. :) Michelle
ReplyDeletei'm with you... sooo digging the red!! i don't know if it's just the photos, but i can really see the distressing more on those. and they just really pop against your decor!! :)
ReplyDeletebut i *love* them!! :)
These beadboard hearts are so cute!! I agree with you, I like the pop of color the red hearts have. Maybe put a white heart with some greenery and then it will stand out more. Both hearts are adorable though and I love the distessing!
ReplyDeleteI love these!!! Especially the red. I think hearts can be used all year round, so maybe in different colors? I have to get some beadboards!
ReplyDeleteDo I have to pick a favorite? I love them both in different settings. You did great.
ReplyDeleteI can't pick, I love them both! You are so talented to use a jig saw, that would scare me! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Robin,
ReplyDeleteI love both of them, but the red does stand out better against all of your lovely white accessories.
Hugs, Cindy
How cute these are! I like both, but the red definitely "pops"!
ReplyDeleteRobin,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea...I have lots of beadboard...maybe I should me some.
Blessings,
Linda
Yep, I like the red ones the best right now since it's close to Valentine's Day. But I think the whites ones you can leave out longer.
ReplyDeleteI'm no help at all because I think they both look great (and very clever of you too!). I also agree with Jen@Notes... how cute would a distressed aqua version be? Love your idea of just stashing them around the house here and there.
ReplyDeleteI like the red! I would usually like white, but since I have so much white around my house the red would pull out my shabby chic fabrics much better. But I do love the white as well! Great job : 0
ReplyDeleteThe red! I'm kinda red obsessed though. Always been my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteI love them- I love them in red and white! Really cute in your vignettes too! Thanks for sharing at Feathered Nest Friday! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Red one ... But the white one is so Classy..
ReplyDeleteLove the red-it really pops amongst all your white! Very cute-have fun watching the Pack tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteMary
