The Kitchen Window

I've changed my kitchen windowsill display around this morning and thought it was the perfect way to share with you some new purchases that I'm very excited about.

First at the thrift store I found this small gravy boat which I fell in love with right away.  It's the perfect addition to my collection.  I have my daughter to thank for the tiny silver spoon.  She found it for me in a bin of state souvenir spoons.  I can't wait to use it next time we have a dinner party.  It will be perfect for adding a little something vintage to the table.

I have Micheal's to thank for my next find.  When I ran in for a few supplies the other day I noticed the plant cloches were marked down to 40% off.

Isn't the chicken wire fabulous?  I just love it.

The base is metal and although I'm not crazy about the color I still love it.  Once it warms up enough to spray paint here in Minnesota I may give it a little black paint.  I'm on the lookout for the perfect plant to add, but for now a flamless candle with some red and white bakers twine wrapped around it is the perfect thing to add a little winter warmth to the kitchen.

Grouped together with a stack of plates and another creamer from my collection, the new finds make a very pretty display in the kitchen.

Simple.  Easy.  Pretty.
The best kind of display if you ask me.
until tomorrow,

  10. Btw, I didn't realize you lived in Minnesota, your weather is much like ours, I think, perhaps a little milder.

  11. I just bought two of those wire cloches! They were at an antique shop but I am sure now they came from Michaels. I can't wait to see if you paint yours, it looks great with the candle in it. Fun finds!
