Like many of you I'm sure, this past weekend was spent getting a few last minute items on the Halloween to-do list accomplished.
Since there has been quite the uproar by the little people in the house about our lack of spooky stuff for Halloween I dug out last years stuff and quickly put together a spooky shelf.
Nothing fancy, just a feather wreath, black and white do-da'ds , skulls and mice.
Now the little people can't complain, but they can get a wee bit freaked out by mice on the ledge - - hee, heeeee. (they look surprisingly real out of the corner of your eye as your passing by - with more than one yelp to prove it!)
I was even feeling a little crafty this weekend and decided to try my hand at making a trio of battery operated orange plastic pumpkins fit a little better into my decor.
After a couple quick coats of white paint, I plugged in the hot glue gun and wrapped / glued some twine to the steams.
I love how they tuned out.
I just can't help but grin a little when I walk by.
Have a great day,
Robin
I think the Halloween shelf is BEAUTIFUL, the mice and black skull INSPIRED. You should have printed a BEFORE picture on the orange plastic pumpkins transformed into very attractive white ones!
ReplyDeleteI like your pumpkin update! Your house looks so nice and neat! I'm just downstairs trying to clear off my desk :)
ReplyDeleteI would be grining at the white pumpkins too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your decorating, Robin! And I have three of those little mice this year, too...they really are real looking!
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween shelf is spooktacular Robin! I'm the same way - I just toss a few skulls and bats around to satisfy the little ones. I love what you did to your battery pumpkins - fabulous!!
