I've decked my halls, and glittered up a storm.
I've drank gallons of cocoa, and snacked on far too may candy canes.
I've listened to countless hours of "holiday tunes"
I've purchased a new pair of boots, a hat and some mittens.
When?
Pray tell will I get to enjoy some pretty white snow?
Pray tell will I get to enjoy some pretty white snow?
I can't wait to take a walk in a winter wonderland.
To see the trees . . .
And fences in my neighborhood, covered in a thick layer of white fluff.
To hear the crunch of snow underfoot . . . to see the white puffs of my own breath . . . and to feel my nose grow more "Rudolph like" with each passing moment.
And when I'm done walking I'd like to head straight to Pam's house . . .
House of Hawthornes
I'd hunker down next to her wood stove and beg a cup of cocoa from her . . .
. . . perhaps even a candy cane!
Sure hope she doesn't mind red-nosed strangers stopping by!
Have a great day everyone,
Robin

What a gorgeous post, Robin! And something tells me Pam would be happy to greet a red nosed stranger if that stranger was you. :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you get to wear and enjoy your new mittens soon!

Sheila
