Early December I finished updating a side table for my living room but with all the fun of holiday decorations I never mentioned it.
I found it at the thrift store with a dark almost black finish and knew right away it was the perfect piece to add between the two slip covered chairs in my living room.
A few coats of paint, some distressing and a couple layers of wax to protect it from the little ones was all it needed to feel at home.
I love the chunky legs, the original hardware and the small shelf underneath.
It's the perfect place to stash a stack of vintage books.
I'm keeping my decorative items to a minimum this month. It's so nice to have almost bare surfaces, somehow it makes the rooms seem more open. I'm sure it won't last long, but for now it's what I'm craving.
Hope you all are having a wonderful day,
Robin

ReplyDeleteSuch a cute table! I really like the pretty legs on it! It's always nice to have more storage too, with the drawer and you could put a basket on the shelf if you needed to. Great piece!
