Hello Everyone!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend. The family and I stayed close to home where it was warm and toasty. Outside we had a nasty mix of snow, sleet and rain for most of the weekend. I fear spring may not decide to show up until July this year!!!!
Despite the nasty weather outside, inside I had a very productive weekend. Finally finished up the last few project to complete my kitchen mini-makeover which I hope to share with you very soon. Just waiting on a nice sunny day so I can get the best possible photo's to share.
In the meantime I thought it would be fun to show off some of the crafty projects that I have completed to add character to the kitchen.
Today's project was super simple and took less than five minutes - I swear!
I saw this idea somewhere in the past month, but curse my forgetfulness, I can't remember where; sorry. I knew right away I wanted to use it somewhere in my house. It just turned out that the kitchen was the perfect spot!
One vintage cookbook and some craft wire make the perfect pairing for this quick project.
I simply cut one length of wire to go around the book from left to right and another to go around the book from top to bottom, making sure to add extra to make a small hanging loop.
I didn't try to straighten out the wire too much since I liked the way the wire curved and twisted how it wanted.
This cookbook is one of three in my vintage book collection. I adore vintage cookbooks because they have everything in them. It's fun to page through the books and find interested recipes. Take the one on this page, "Cottage Cheese Cakes" - really?
I had no idea!
Have a lovely day,
