Silver Pitchers Big and Small

I always get excited when I score a tarnished silver piece at the thrift store.  Don't you?

I have a modest size collection, which of course I love adding too.  I thought it was perfect timing when I found two small sized pitchers just last week.  Now I'm always in love with silver, but I love to use it more around the house during the autumn and winter months.  Since autumn has finally arrived, and I'm starting to dig out all my other silver items this score was timely indeed.

In order to use them right away without having to put much thought into it, I clipped a few Limelight Hydrangea's to fill the pitchers and set them both on a pretty platter.

Now I can admire my two new favorite things.  I love how similar each pitcher is to the other.

They both have pretty detailing and fluted sides.

They both have unique handles which I adore.

Hydrangea's go so well with tarnished silver don't you think?
