The Kitchen's Autumn Look

The other day I showed off my kitchen table dressed up for the season but I couldn't show you the rest of the kitchen since I hadn't finished it yet.

I seem to be moving slow this year at getting my house ready for fall.  I'm blaming the weather, since it still feels so much like summer around here.

In the past couple of days I did manage to finish what I had planned for the rest of the kitchen.  As always, I tried to keep things simple.

It seems I've gone with a pumpkin theme.  All those tiny pumpkins from the garden sure did come in handy.  Although I didn't add much more than pumpkins, I'm loving the simple look and the cohesiveness it gives to the room.   Plus it just screams Autumn to me.

Take a look.

On the shelf I didn't replace much since I love the look of how it was decorated to much to mess with it.

Instead I just added baby pumpkins wherever I thought they would look good.

As you can see, I wasn't afraid to mix pumpkins either.

I sort of like the look.

Here's a view from across the kitchen table that I showed you the other day.

A small shelf by my desk area in the kitchen received a pumpkin too!
Didn't want it to feel left out.

By the window behind the kitchen sink I placed a basket with a mix of pumpkins and gourds on a pretty embroidered napkin to add a little softness.

A few well placed mini pumpkins around the basket . . .

and two jam jars with tea light in them for a night glow.

Personally I am in love with this display.

It's simplicity is so pretty to me.

And I don't know about you, I adore tea lights in jam jars.

Simplicity at it's finest if you ask me.

  8. Everything looks great! The items in your everyday vignette are farm related so it works really well by simply adding the pumpkins.
