Dinning Room Holiday Decor

Good Morning!

Today we'll be visiting the Dinning Room all dressed up for Christmas.

You may remember this book page wreath from years past.  I think I made it three years ago now.  It's so nice to dig out each December, it's truly become a family tradition.

One the desk under the wreath a made a pretty display with some sheet music scrolls.  Such a simple thing to do really but I love how it turned out.

On the other side of the desk I filled an urn with bleached pine cones, glittery ornaments, silver stars and greenery.  The vintage candle clip adds a nice touch don't you think.

On the piano bench in the corner a mini tree in a metal bucket is looking oh so cute decked out with simple snowflake ornaments.

I have a thing for baby trees, I think they are adorable.

I found this realistic looking one at Micheal's and knew right away it was going on the dinning room table.  Isn't it fabulous.  I maybe should have added some ornaments or a garland but I loved the look of it bare.

At thanksgiving my dad was kind enough to cut down a dead tree in our backyard.  He even went so far as to cut up the stump for me to use as stepping stones in my garden - - he's the best dad ever.

In the meantime, I figured one of the cut disks would make a great addition to the table arrangement.  I wrap a sheer piece of red ribbon around it to add a touch of red to this room.  Tiny pine-cones and mercury glass votive's finish off the arrangement nicely I think.

For Christmas dinner, I made simple place cards out of pages from a book.  I used scalloped edged scissors to cut off the margins, a rubber Christmas tree stamp and then simple added names with letter stamps.
Cute right!

Finally, on the shelf behind the table I've added my favorite collection of vintage deer.

This collection is so special to me.
The two tiny deer in the middle, plus the two deer on the left were from my Grandmother that I remember playing with as a kid at Christmas time.  I even found a photo recently of my sister and I at Grandmas, would you believe those two very same deer are the sitting on a table right behind us!

The two on the right were a fabulous thrift store find just two weeks ago.

I arranged the deer among some bottle brush trees, silver and white garland and white snow flakes.  The candles on the ends add a pretty glow at night.

The wreath on the chalkboard above you may remember from a tutorial I did on it a while back.  I simply used painters tape to attach it to the chalkboard.

And that my friends, is the Dinning Room.

Have a great day,

Robin
