Fun Finds

I haven't done a "Fun Finds" post for a while, mostly because I haven't had much luck of late.

I did manage to find a few items that made me smile in the past couple weeks so lets get started.

First off, two vintage tins.
I've been on the lookout for pretty tins every since I saw a photo of some used as planting pots a while back.  These two will fit nicely with my decor come summer I think.

This next find gave me quite the thrill.

A souvenir pack of black and white vintage photos of the Canadian Rockies.

So cool!

This little package has about twenty photos in all, some of which are very cool.

Can't wait to frame some of these and get them on my walls somewhere.

And here's a sweet little set of playing cards.

I love their tiny size and the cute puppies.

Not sure what I will do with them, but they were too cute to pass up.

And last but not least, I found two pairs of vintage scissors.

Not sure why I love them so much, but vintage office supplies fascinate me.

There is just nothing like a hefty set of scissors when it's craft time.

I am sure these two will get quite the workout at my house.

Hope your all having a wonderful day.

What have you found lately to get you excited?

Robin

    1. So glad to hear it. I sometimes wonder if people are all that interested in it. But I just it's my blog and I get to share what make me happy right! Hunting for treasures makes me very happy indeed. Have a great weekend.

  2. I have similar scissors that were my grandmothers - a red pair and a black. I love them! The vintage tins are beautiful, what great color. Have a great weekend!

    1. You lucky, lucky lady. What a wonderful, useful thing to have passed down to you from your grandmother. I would think they would remind you of her every time you use them. I did run across a set of red handled scissors which I don't see very often around here but they were a little wonky so I pasted on them - sort of wish I hadn't now. Such is the life of a treasure hunter I guess. LOL

  3. Great finds - especially the dog playing cards! I haven't been that lucky lately. I did get some vintage hankies and some Mason jars. Nothing too wonderful to warrant a blog post sadly. =(

  4. How fun! Love the little photos and the green on the cards! The scissors look just like mine, they were my grandma's years and years ago when she was a school teacher... FUN finds for sure!

  7. Robin,
What I wouldn't give to have these scissors and tins! Love all of your finds, but super partial to these two.
I was reading that decorating Tins are a must for decorating this year.
    Have a Happy Week,
    Jemma
