If your a "Fabric Freak" like me you know how easy it is to fall in love with something you see at the fabric store.
No matter what, you just have to bring some home - - never mind the fact that you have no idea what you'll use it for.
This happens ALL the time to me.
Not that I'm complaining, oh no, not one little bit.
Fresh new fabric make me one happy lady!
One of the easiest way I've found to use my new fabric is to sew cushion covers.
Envelop style covers are so simple and quick I don't have to wait long to enjoy my new fabric.
My latest "Fabric Obsession" is prefect for spring I think.
I jazzed up my pillow just a little by adding a simple edging much like Ikea does for their cushion covers.
I think it gives the pillow a nice finished look to it.

For this project I wanted to use a 20"X20" Ikea pillow insert. I like them because they are nice and plump and keep their shape well.
Follow along below to see how I accomplished it.

Add a pillow form and your done!
The perfect way to use some gorgeous fabric and add a little something new to a room.

ReplyDeleteThis fabric is gorgeous, and so cheery! I would have snagged it up too. I love the flange detail on your pillows. It makes them look store-bought. Love your pretty room too!
