With the weather warming up nicely and my spring gardening chores complete I have turned to updating a few things on my porch to enjoy throughout the summer.
A few years back my sweet mother-in-law passed on a wonderful metal table and chair set she was no longer using. The set has begun to rust slightly and I have been wanting to give it a little TLC.
I started with the chairs. Here is the before.
And the After:I love the way a quick coat of paint and a new cushion cover has such an impact. Today I'm working on a quick pillow of matching fabric for the backrest. I'll show you along with the completed porch update sometime later this week. Bet you can guess my color scheme?
Looking good! Now you just need a sunny day and a cold lemonade, sit and enjoy your new chair!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous! Nice and easy read my mind.
ReplyDeleteCan I tell you how much I adore that chair??? I've been coveting a small bistro set just like that in cherry red (my downfall) at Kmart. I've been keeping my eyes open for a set at thrift stores, but nothing yet. You've rekindled my love. =)
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Hi Robin...
ReplyDeleteYou have been very busy making things lovely!!
Like the red top table...looks summer-ish!! and the stools are great!
Painting cabinets...WOW that will be a BIG project!!!I'd start NOW...why wait for HOT weather...
Deb :)
Love the fresh new look of your chair. I just bought some patio furniture and am dying to re-do it, but the weather isn't cooperating! :(
ReplyDeleteYour chair is darling. Love what you did. I say that you should live with that red top on the end table for a few weeks and then decide if you want to paint it or not. Mimi
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet chair!
