Do It Yourself Day

It's DIY Day over at A Soft Place To Land.

I thought I would show you a bench I use as a coffee table in my living room. My dad and I built it (ok, mostly dad) and I painted and distressed it.

Here she is. Isn't she fetching.

I first painted it red then added a brown glaze to give it a weathered look. Here's a look at it in the room. She turned out great and I love the pop of red in the room.
