Morning Everyone!
Today I have a very fun project for dog lovers like myself.
I have been wanting something new for the top of my hutch. I have really been wanting a vintage weather vane to use for the space but they seem to be elusive in my area.
As a substitute I thought I could make something to give me the look I craved.
So today I'm showing off my modern take on a vintage weather vane.
I guess it's more of a silhouette then a weather vane, but you get the idea I'm sure.
Whatever you'd like to call it, I think it turned out really cute and I am so happy I have it a go.
I now have the perfect accent for the top of my hutch!
If you'd like to specific on how I made it just watch the super handy video tutorial below to get all the details.

That is SO cute, Robin...love, love, love it!
ReplyDeleteThat's really, really cute, Robin. I'm going to have to see how to make a German Shepherd silhouette. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI love it, so cute
ReplyDeleteNow that is super cute! Love the video tutorial too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love weathervanes and you came up with a wonderful alternative, Robin. So cute. Also, Mary Alice at Chateau-Chic has the brother or sister to your black and white dog that's in your living room. I was just reading her post about her living room and I noticed the cute little pup. Just thought I would mention it in case your doggie is looking for his sibling. : )
ReplyDeleteIt is so cute! It really looks like a vintage piece!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very impressive….
ReplyDeleteThis looks way better than a weather vane up there, more solid you know? I love it!
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know this cute 'Decorative Dog Silhouette' has been featured at Mia Bella Passions
